On Alaska Wilderness Therapy marine wildlife tours we customize and cater our tours dependent on the season and what you would like to see. Our own Captain Patrick Davis was born in Sitka and raised on the waters. He is knowledgeable on all the hidden spots surrounding Sitka. St. Lazaria Island is a local gem located about 20 miles southeast of Sitka and is a treasured place often visited on our tour. The island is home to thousands of protected petrels, murres, puffins, auklets, eagles, falcons, gulls and oystercatchers. Whales, sea otter, sea lions and seals are often abundant in Sitka sound. The coast line shore of Kruzoff Island often offers coastal brown bear and Sitka black tail deer view
Jeff, Lisa and I were lucky enough to meet you when we visited Sitka in the end of August. Thank you so-o-o-o much for the wonderful tour of the bay and its islands, it was the high-point of a glorious vacation!!!"
